London
What better way to enjoy the United Kingdom if not to stay in its famed capital city – London. City slickers will find pleasure strolling the streets of the city along the River Thames. The historical enthusiast, on the other hand, will find himself marvelling at the mere sight of the Tower of London, or of the millennium-old White Tower, the Buckingham Palace, and the Natural History Museum. Architectural breakthrough is also seen in buildings such as the Parliament Buildings, the Big Ben, and Nelson’s Column, all to the amazement of an artist’s keen eye to details.
Edinburgh
Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, offers equally exciting sites to visit and see. One of its most popular destinations is Edinburgh Castle, a majestic castle sitting on top of a hill that is home to a lengthy and sometimes turbulent history. Near the place are other tourist attractions that reverberate rich history and culture – Princes Street Gardens, National War Museum of Scotland, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum, Royal Mile, Palace of Holyroodhouse, to name a few. Indeed, Edinburgh’s homage to the past has placed it in one of the UK’s most sought-after cities to visit.
Bath
What Bath lacks in land area, it makes up for its famed healing waters that are more almost 2000 years old. The city is popular for its hot springs that are said to be laden with a variety of minerals which people believe to be a source of healing for many of their health problems. The original bathhouses, however, are no longer available to the public as they are now centres of cultural heritage. There are many other commercial hot springs in the region nevertheless. These hot springs can reach up to almost 47 degrees Celsius and are often enjoyed by tourists from colder places in other parts of Europe and the Americas.
